Using Google Maps, you can copy and paste the location name or coordinates into the google map search to find the Visitor Center/Main Office, since most do not have exact locations listed on their maps. It is recommended to visit, obtain a map, and talk with the Rangers about the park.

Can always pick up a souvenir as well.

Parking lot on the left hand side of the main road, can walk to the visitor center

Park Type: Mountains

Unique Features: 1930s water reservoirs structures and stone dams

Hiking Trails:​

Lake Placid Trail - Trailhead located at the visitor center, 0.75-mile loop trail circling the lake. Easy difficulty. Follows the lake shoreline and through wooded areas, also can see one of the stone made dams with water flowing over the top, for a scenic picture stop.

Sulphur Springs Trail - Trailhead located at Sulphur Springs Parking, further down the main road, off the left hand side. 3.8-mile loop trail split into two sections, 1st section follows the river up through the mountain, which is the strenuous part of the trail. (Has the best views of waterfalls). The 2nd section is a gradual decline/incline, depending on which way you are hiking it, which is a moderate level difficutly. Heavily forested trails.
