Using Google Maps, you can copy and paste the location name or coordinates into the google map search to find the Visitor Center/Main Office, since most do not have exact locations listed on their maps. It is recommended to visit, obtain a map, and talk with the Rangers about the park.

Can always pick up a souvenir as well.

Indian Springs State Park

Unique Features: Natural spring flowing mineral water, 105-acre lake, and Creek Indians Museum

 

Hiking Trails:

Nature Trail: Trailhead located just North of the visitor center, ¾ mile long, Easy Difficulty, Loop trail through woods. Easy warm-up trail.

Multi-Use Trail: Trailhead located south of the visitor center and playground area. 3.25 miles long, Easy to Moderate Difficulty, Out and back trail that connects to Dauset Trails Nature Center. Hugs the waterline of Chief Mcintosh Lake.

Open Tuesday-Sunday from 9:00-5:00; There is no admission or parking fee.

High Falls State Park

Park Type: Lake, Ruins, River Rapids

Unique Features: Cascading falls over the dam, Rapids down the Towaliga River

 

Hiking Trails:

Falls View Trail - Trailhead located just North of the bridge on the side of the High Falls Rd, opposite of the entrance to High Falls Pool Dr. Parking available at within the Main office area and has walking paths to cross the bridge. 1.5-mile double loop trail. Moderate to Moderately Strenuous Difficulty. A rocky forest trail following the river, providing excellent views of the river rapids/waterfalls of Towaliga River.

Historic Trail - Trailhead located south of the main bridge, and east of the main office building. Half a mile long and Easy Difficulty. Boardwalk type of path providing info on the historic structures found along the way. Leads to the Tranquil Trail

 

Tranquil Trail - Trailhead located at the end of the Historic Trail. 2-mile loop trail and Easy difficulty. Dirt path through heavy forest, very isolated and relaxing for nature.
